Eagle Scout Statistics

            Eagle Scout, also known as Eagle, is the highest honor a boy scout can attain. It is a very prestigious honor and hard to achieve. ‘Eagle Scout Statistics' is to determine the success rate of boy scouts attaining this top honor, how the eagle scouts stand in the public and private life, what are the top position they held in public and private sector. The boy scout of America (BSA) established in February 8, 1910 and now headquartered in Irving, Texas has celebrated its 100th anniversary on February 8, 2010. The highest honor ‘Eagle Scout' to a boy scout is introduced in 1911. It is said that once an Eagle is always an Eagle because Eagle Scout honor is given for life.

Requirement to become an Eagle Scout – must be a member of Boy scout of America or a Varsity scout, must earn at least 21 merit badges, leadership demonstration in troop, ship, team or crew, and scout spirit, must successfully complete a leadership service project in the community, take part in a scoutmaster conference, and must complete an eagle scout board of review after 18the birthday.

            Out of 100 boy Scouts who join BSA 2 shall attain Eagle Scout, 12 will receive first time religious contact, 5 will earn religious emblem, 2 will enter the clergy, 18 will develop life time hobbies, 8 will enter a career based on merit badge work, 17 will become scout volunteers, 1 will use scouting skills to save of another person, 1 will use scouting skill to save his own life, 28 will continue lifelong hobbies stated at scouting
